Tadpoles

After the recent heavy rain I am surprised to see puddles filled with tadpoles this morning after the hot April which dried out all the places where the frog spawn had been laid. It only goes to show how resilient nature can be. The first tadpoles would not have survived but the spawn obviously did in the damp undergrowth.
