ZKM

An impressive sculpture outside the ZKM exhibition hall in Karlsruhe.

Close up some pieces appeared to be fashioned from cast iron, while others could have been plywood covered with a metal-like material. Either way it was an interesting piece of work with loud speakers embedded producing odd sounds.

 

The ZKM (behind the sculpture) is now a large art exhibition centre, which has been coverted from an old machine and arms factory. Although it looks modern from the outside, it still retains the main original metal structure inside.
